Motley Crue back in the studio

In the world of rock, and specifically Motley Crue, there are exciting times ahead. For all of those who wish to relive the dangerous heyday of glam rock and metal in the 1980s with all of the hedonism, bad behaviour and raucous stories that have gone down as the very elements from which legends are made, you are in luck.
After Vince Neil announced that Motley Crue were back in the studio to record four new tracks there was a great deal of excitement to see what this group could come up with after such a great passing of time without new material. Having said that there can be hope in the quality of Nikki Sixx’s other project Sixx AM’s body of work. The bass player and songwriter for the band has certainly maintained a high output and quality to his writing.
The four track EP is expected to accompany a Netflix original movie based on the Legendary rock (auto)biography ‘The Dirt’. Named by many as the finest work of Rock and Roll literature in existence the Dirt has shown in excruciating detail how Motley Crue lived up to their notorious reputation, and is a necessary accompaniment to anyone reading Ozzy’s autobiography as the Black Sabbath front man has trouble remembering a lot of went on when on tour with Motley Crue.
Although questions abound as to the content of the film and how this can possibly live up to the book, given the current climate of ‘political correctness’ and ‘recreational outrage’ that we see from the current generation of social media users, it can safely be assumed that the Rock community will dive onto this film, starved as they are for rebellion and true representations of the rock and roll lifestyle.
The Dirt movie is set for release in 2019.
