Looking Forward To – Into The Deep

Written by on July 24, 2018

Keeping up with local bands isn’t easy and you find that a lot of them manage to fly under the radar and escape your scrutiny. Luckily in order to avoid that there is always Trillians. The rock bar of choice for all of the more interesting people in society. As a result of the ability of the bar to attract awesome bands to it’s stage, as well as the efforts of the mighty Paris Dancer I have just had a listen to the Into the Deep ep.

Appearing tonight (24 July 2018) Into the Deep are a Newcastle based Indie Rock band looking to explore their sound and increase their fan base as any self-respecting rock band would wish to do. The four piece are making quick moves in order to capitalise on the momentum and enthusiasm that they currently have pushing them in the right direction, with tracks available on Spotify and numerous gigs booked they are ready to attempt to build great things, hopefully this will not be a story of reaching too high and burning out.

In terms of their EP Steal the Light is worth a listen, well produced with a solid mix of tones and atmospheres created. The vocals are strong and there is a hint of Stereophonics influence here. The guitar playing is simple yet effective and overall the sound is comparable with many more established acts in the genre.

As always the test is in the live show so we wait to see what comes from that. However, in the meantime here is a link to Steal the Light, just to tease your curiosity.
